The Crum Family

 

I had such a good time photographing the Crum family last Saturday morning, it gave me a chance to get to know David a little...I have already had the pleasure of getting to know Angela through a few playdates thanks to our daughters. We have been trying to schedule this shoot for a while but due to all of the wonderful rain and crazy schedules that families try to entertain we didn't get around to it until now. The plan was to do the shoot before Katherine (aka "daughter") lost her first tooth- missed it by a day, if you can believe it! Angela, your family is fun and have a nice easy relaxed spirit and I hope I captured that.

My little sister and her husband made the trip down from Detroit to Myrtle Beach and we were lucky enough to visit them for a weekend of fun and love. If I were to speak her language, I would say there was a really good feeling and presence in the room. It makes me sad that a whole year had gone by since seeing her last but we remain close. It was REALLY cool to see the transformation she and her husband have taken. Healthy, happy and moving forward. Keep going, Chris. I love you.

I love you Mama. I love that you have been there for my children for every birthday even though we live 700 miles away. I love that you have been here for one part of the Christmas holiday or another even when it's not "easy". Our children adore you. I adore you. You make our lives happy. Simply happy. Thank you. You are still and will always be my (terrible fake French accent) my Mama!

Chad and Ashley

Natalie and I had such a good time shooting Ashley and Chad. It's always fun to hear someones "love story" and get to know the couples we work with. All I can say is CITY-COUNTRY and it is a beautiful mix. It was a great shoot because they seemed to find a lot of comfort in each other...no awkward moments just genuine connections. We are looking forward to our next shoot with you Ashley, you have such a gentleness about you, it makes it easy to find a natural smile and meaningful expression.

I Heart Faces

Here is my first attempt at a contest entry. My biggest concern at this point is actually getting al of the criteria required for entry. Lots of rules, but if anyone knows me, I love a challenge. Hopefully, we get the hang of this and we will do all of the weekly challenges. Thanks for the opportunity to please! Here is Josey, loving Ramone. Peek at a Guest Book

After shooting Tiffany's bridal portrait the other day at the Upcountry Museum we were starting to get really excited for her wedding. She is going to be a gorgeous bride. She really does have that "bride glow". Can't wait to share those photos, it won't be long because thier wedding is the 30th in the Rock Quarry with a reception in the Wyche Pavillion. It is going to be a great party. We just wanted to share the guest book they ended up going with...not the one we always recommend, but now I might change my tune after seeing this one. The 12x12 turned out so nice, it just makes me want to keep opening the box over and over....
